Friends of Mercy organizes its Faith & Mercy Expeditions with safety as the most important objective. We then balance comfort with cost.

With these in mind, we want your experience in Kenya to be challenging, thought provoking, and a rich experience as we confront God's Word with the reality of sin in daily life and the affects of poverty and disease in a third world country.

Accomodations become your home away from home, your sanctuary from what you see and experience throughout the day. Therefore, as you read and view the photos  below, it will give you a slight taste of what you will see, where you will sleep, and will help prepare you for your Faith & Mercy Expedition.

Mara West Camp 

Mara West Camp overlooks the Maasai Mara and is about 20 minutes from the entrance gate to the game preserve. It is on the Oloololo escarpmented. This camp is professionally run by the African Mission Services, a mission in partnership with the Seventh Day Adventist.

Your stay will be in a round canvas tent with two very comfortable beds. Electricity, clean shower and toilet facilities (right), and great cooking for the "American stomach." See the Mara West Camp website for more info and pictures.
